The Golden Age Hotel is in the main street of Beaufort and has been running for some 150 years. Originally a single story building, renovations over the years saw it grow into a double story complex by the early 1900’s with many colorful characters residing there, including a surgeon from the English army who actually worked out of the premises and the local chemist. The Golden Age Hotel today consists of a Licensed TAB and Keno facility
