Beaufort is a RV Friendly Town that offers provisions for large self contained camping vehicles. A Free Camping site is located behind the Beaufort Community Church, 1 Park Road Beaufort, where self-contained vehicles can stay for up to 24 hours. There is no charge to stay, and pets on a lead are welcome. A dump point is located along Lawrence Street, with potable water conveniently located across the road at Wotherspoon Park.

Free Camp site is within walking distance (700m) of shops including large IGA supermarket, butcher, newsagent, pharmacy, hardware store, post office, Bendigo bank, second hand shops and plenty of cafes / eateries.
